Come along to Milford's cinema, located in the heart of the village
During the Autumn and Winter months the Clockhouse Dining Room is transformed into a comfortable and cosy village cinema. There is a 20 minute interval halfway through the film, where beverages & snacks can be bought. Try our delicious cake with a mug of tea or coffee, treat yourself to a choc-ice or relax with a cool beer, a Gin & Tonic, or a glass of wine from our licensed bar.
We have good provision for the disabled, with our own car park for easy access. A hearing loop is available.
Inspired by a true story, GREEN BOOK takes place in 1962 and follows Tony "Lip" Vallelonga , a white, Italian American New York City bouncer who takes a temporary job driving black concert pianist Dr. Don Shirley as he travels throughout the Midwest and the Deep South on a concert tour. As the vulgar, working-class, and admittedly racist Tony and the incredibly well-educated, intelligent Dr. Shirley get to know each other on the road, they challenge stereotypes and grow to form an unlikely friendship.
Excitement is high at Downton Abbey when the Crawley family learns that King George V and Queen Mary are coming to visit. But trouble soon arises when Mrs. Patmore, Daisy and the rest of the servants learn that the King and Queen travel with their own chefs and attendants -- setting the stage for an impromptu scheme and other shenanigans.
